Our Story

We started with a simple idea: bake it right.

Java Bru Cafe wasn't born from a business plan — it was born from a neighborhood that deserved better. When we opened our doors on East 12th Street, we knew the community didn't need another chain. They needed a place where the bread is kneaded by hand, the coffee is roasted with care, and the people behind the counter actually know your name.

Every loaf, every pastry, every cup of coffee is made here, in this kitchen, with ingredients we can pronounce and a process we're proud of. We source locally whenever we can, bake in small batches throughout the day, and treat every customer like they're walking into a friend's home.
